30 day Challenge~ Day 2

Day 2~ A House you built.

It took me longer than expected to post this... I've been pretty busy lately so hopefully day 3 wont take that long!

Front view.

I built this from scratch!
It's worth over half a million simoleons, it has 3 floors, a lovely red kitchen, family room, game room, 2 bedrooms, 1 master suite + master bathroom, 1 loft bedroom, 2 1/2 bathrooms and a big backyard-pool area with an outside kitchen..

Backyard-Pool

The backyard is a beautiful oasis surrounded by palm trees and exotic flowers. A beautiful paradise with breathtaking views of the city and the mountains. It is the perfect place to relax or to have fun with friends and family.


First Floor

First Floor: Entry hall, sitting area, luxurious powder room, kitchen and dining room.
I've always wanted a red kitchen... so I built one for my sim!
The furniture and decor are somewhat eclectic, I mix everything together, just because I don't really have any CC in my game.


2nd Floor

2nd Floor: Nursery, Bedroom, Bathroom, small laundry area. (I'm going to turn the laundry area into another bathroom)

All the rooms in this house have amazing views of the mountains or/and the city, they are very large and bright because of the huge windows.

Master Bedroom & Bathroom

The Master bedroom has the best views in the entire house. It is pretty big, it has a fireplace and a lovely sitting area where you can relax and enjoy the view or if you prefer you can read a book outside on the balcony.

3rd Floor Loft

The 3rd floor loft is a very funky room, colorful and bright. It could easily be converted into two rooms or a big office-studio room.
Right now it has a sitting area, a computer area, and a dressing area.


Basement

Finally, in the basement you will find, the family room, game room, full bathroom, butler's room and a large laundry room.

The family room has a beautiful built-in aquarium, a grand piano, and the best entertainment system you could ask for.

30 day Challenge~ Day 1

Day 1 - Yourself as a Sim with your traits/aspiration

Of course she is much more pretty than I could ever be. LOL

So this is my self sim... I used to have longer hair but I just had a hair cut last Saturday. My hair is a little longer, but this is the closest I have in my game...the color is about the same, it looks dark brown, but once I step outside to the sun light is more of a reddish color!!!

Also my eyes are really dark almost black, but this is the darkest I could get in the game... I think it has something to do with the kind of default eyes I'm using... mine are really dark, almost black...

the clothes are what I would usually wear, jeans and t-shirt and a small sweater on top..really comfy...if it is too hot, I will wear a dress... my shoes could be some nice gladiator sandals or any sandals, flip flops, or tennis shoes, anything that will allow me to walk for a long time.. (high heels, only special occasions), and if I dont have plans to go out I will wear my sleepers or I will be bare feet most of the day :D

and my nose might be a little smaller than her.... in some of the shots she looks like she has a pointy nose, but mine is more like a button kind of nose...

My traits : Over emotional, that's the one that will describe me better.... I am really sensitive and cry about everything! There is a program called "What would you do" (I think is from NBC) and I always cry with that program! I cry when I watch TV, when I read the news, when my hubby calls me evil, I cry when I do something good, or when I do something evil.. I cry when someone is sad or when they are happy...
I feel terrible sorry for everybody who is going through a hard time and I'm always praying to God for everyone I know and whom I don't know to find hapiness and be safe from all the evil and violence that is going on in this world.
I also get really angry and frustrated when I see that someone is being mean to someone else, or when they are taking advantage or being rude.

Family oriented, my family is the most important thing for me, and I will for sure give my life to safe any of them. Even though my family is in Mexico, I call them at least 3 times a week and I stalk my brother , sister and cousin on Facebook, leave them messages every single day! And tell them I love them in every message!! hahahha... seriously I bet they think I am crazy! I would also love to have a big family... and if for some reason I can't have babies, I will be adopting, because I do want to be a mother in one way or another.

I'm also very dramatic! but I think this goes together with the "over emotional" trait...

Clumsy, there is no glass allowed in my kitchen because I'm always breaking it....I have a bunch of marks on my legs because when walking I will always run onto something...I have to change my clothes frequently because I always spill something on them...

Absent Minded: I some times forget what I am doing or what I was supposed to do. I forget things that happened yesterday or things I said a couple of hours ago...and sometimes I do find myself, (like my sim) standing in the middle of the room or street wondering what I was going to do or what I was supposed to get from the store... LOL

Out of five life time wishes that showed when I created my sims, there were only two that could relate to me...

the one I picked is Surrounded by Family, like I said family is very important to me... and of course I would love to have a big family of 5 and see them all grow and be happy.

the second one was "Swimming in cash" LOL who wouldn't want to be swimming in cash? I would love to have money, lots of it... then I will be able to help my family in Mexico, and even though they do not need anything, they are a working class family, and work to live comfortably... I would love them to have the best without working so hard!Specially my mom, she works and has worked so hard her entire life!
I want to take my nephews to Disneyland, and take them places I never had the change to go when I was little, I want them to have opportunities not all children have in Mexico...There is lots of poverty in Mexico, and you either have lots of money or you don't have enough...
so I want to be swimming in cash to help my family and if I had enough I will help everyone I could.

I really want to come back to my sims 2 & 3, and even though life has been (continues to be) a little hectic, I decided to give the 30 day challenge a go... this is the perfect way to bring the sims back into my life... without them demanding too much of my attention! :D

I got a new computer- Rambling!!

I fell behind in my reading again because my computer broke last week, it got a nasty virus, and it really blew it off, it messed up everything! The good news, my hubby built me a new computer and it's somewhat faster than the one I had before and now I have windows 7!!!!

I installed the sims3 already, but I still have to install my sims 2, I really want to install it, but I have all games and all expansions, that's more than 10 dvds! and just to think about all the time it will take, it drives me crazy! but I will do it, soon hopefully!

I was creating my self sim-3 to make the 30 day challenge, and I asked my hubby to help me with my traits, since he knows me pretty well, but seriously, he picked the worst of them all! the sad thing is that he is right and I am all those things he said, lol, I really never thought of it... but yeah... I'm really bad... no talent at all!

ps.I Today I was really happy, my sister wrote me a poem and it was so beautiful, it made me cry. I never expected her to do something like that and to say all the beautiful things she said, maybe I will translate it later and make a short photoshot with it... after all the things she said, I think I am not as bad as my hubby made it sound :D but yeah, I admit, I am a bit of everything he said! :D lol

I had forgotten how beautiful my sims2 were!! Oh gosh... they are freaking gorgeous!

I've been busy reading my favorite stories (if I haven't gotten to your story yet, I swear I will get to it soon! I'm almost done!) After reading and commenting on my favorite stories, I got in the mood to go into the game and even though it took ages to load (25 minutes). It finally loaded, and for the first time in over 10 months I saw my sims again! (it was a nice to see them again!)

I didn't know how much I've missed them until I was actually in the game, looking at them! I couldn't believe I had abandoned them for such a long time! I've been playing the sims3, but it is not the same!

Anyway, enjoy this pic spam..The only photoshop I did was the burned edges (and the pic on the beach, I fixed the lighting), everything else is untouched, raw from the game! :D lol

Slowly coming back!

So I finally made it back to my reading list!!!

I finished reading some stories that I loved, and hopefully I will get to the rest soon...

this past week we went to San Francisco...

a business trip, and after that life was even more hectic than before!

I was busy looking for real estate, houses for sale, for rent, anything!

checking out new neighborhoods and so on...

It drove me crazy....

in one hand I really wanted to move, I was ready for a change,

but I do love it here, we have moved about 5 times in the last 7 years,

and so far This is one of my favorite cities, I just love everything about it

the weather, the people, the location, summers are great, winters are not that bad!

It is such a romantic city, and it has a bunch of things to do

and great opportunities...

In the other hand, SF is beautiful BUT soooo freaking expensive,

to be able to get about the same place we have here right now,

we would have to pay around 3500 for rent there!!!

and that was just a little TOO much for us...

It stressed me so much that I couldn't find a place I liked, it really brought me to tears...

and then there goes my mom, telling me what everybody has been saying for the last couple of years

a big Earthquake will destroy SF and blah blah blah... well that didn't help my stress levels!!!

It was a great opportunity for my hubby and I really didn't want to say anything to affect his decision, so

I had to suck in my stress and keep on looking for a more affordable place... I also had to

suck in my fear of earthquakes... so I kept my mouth shout and kept on looking

it was the most stressful week of my life!! (Ok I'm over reacting here, I have had worse than that... but you get the idea!)

By the end of the week, I was drained... mentally... but thanks God..

we are staying in HERE...after a lot of research and thought, it appears that the great opportunity was not as great as it seemed..

because SF's state income taxes are so high that all the extra money

would be going directly into the state taxes...so

we would have to kiss good bye our vacations, savings, and other useless expenses..

So after a very busy and stressful week I can go back to my reading list and now I'm in letter "C" that means, "Crime Story, Color blind, etc... I'm so excited!!!"

I have missed my sim stories so badly..

In other things, I did try to make some sims3 videos but my Adobe Premier CS3 wont read my sims3 videos! I don't get it!!! Everytime I try to open them with Premier (to edit) the video wont load!!

but it does open with windows, itunes and other programs....(can't edit with those)

I don't have windows movie maker and I have windows XP... hubby offered to installed windows 7 a while ago and I refused... and now that I want it, he said he can't do it anymore, because he installed it in one of his computers and he can't reinstall it anywhere else.. is that true? or is he lying? I think he just doesn't want to do it....

Do you guys have any idea of why I can't see my videos with Adobe Premier?

I also did a little writing, not sure if I will put it into a story or into a video, I have the perfect music

so it might go into a video with some subtitles...
