Slowly coming back!
So I finally made it back to my reading list!!!
I finished reading some stories that I loved, and hopefully I will get to the rest soon...
this past week we went to San Francisco...
a business trip, and after that life was even more hectic than before!
I was busy looking for real estate, houses for sale, for rent, anything!
checking out new neighborhoods and so on...
It drove me crazy....
in one hand I really wanted to move, I was ready for a change,
but I do love it here, we have moved about 5 times in the last 7 years,
and so far This is one of my favorite cities, I just love everything about it
the weather, the people, the location, summers are great, winters are not that bad!
It is such a romantic city, and it has a bunch of things to do
and great opportunities...
In the other hand, SF is beautiful BUT soooo freaking expensive,
to be able to get about the same place we have here right now,
we would have to pay around 3500 for rent there!!!
and that was just a little TOO much for us...
and then there goes my mom, telling me what everybody has been saying for the last couple of years
a big Earthquake will destroy SF and blah blah blah... well that didn't help my stress levels!!!
It was a great opportunity for my hubby and I really didn't want to say anything to affect his decision, so
I had to suck in my stress and keep on looking for a more affordable place... I also had to
suck in my fear of earthquakes... so I kept my mouth shout and kept on looking
it was the most stressful week of my life!! (Ok I'm over reacting here, I have had worse than that... but you get the idea!)
By the end of the week, I was drained... mentally... but thanks God..
because SF's state income taxes are so high that all the extra money
would be going directly into the state taxes...so
we would have to kiss good bye our vacations, savings, and other useless expenses..
So after a very busy and stressful week I can go back to my reading list and now I'm in letter "C" that means, "Crime Story, Color blind, etc... I'm so excited!!!"
I have missed my sim stories so badly..
In other things, I did try to make some sims3 videos but my Adobe Premier CS3 wont read my sims3 videos! I don't get it!!! Everytime I try to open them with Premier (to edit) the video wont load!!
but it does open with windows, itunes and other programs....(can't edit with those)
I don't have windows movie maker and I have windows XP... hubby offered to installed windows 7 a while ago and I refused... and now that I want it, he said he can't do it anymore, because he installed it in one of his computers and he can't reinstall it anywhere else.. is that true? or is he lying? I think he just doesn't want to do it....
I also did a little writing, not sure if I will put it into a story or into a video, I have the perfect music
so it might go into a video with some subtitles...
Hope everyone is doing great!!!
ps... if you like cooking visit my cooking blog, link is on the side! I been working on it for a while now... but I just started updating and uploading videos...

Sandy you poor thing. I'm sorry to hear that you had such a horrible week. I hope you enjoy staying in Seattle and that things work out for you both there.
I would love to visit Seattle, don't know much about it. Only stuff from the movies. lol
SF looks like a really cool place to live but man, $3500 for rent? Yikes!
I can't help you with your videos, sorry! But I hope you get it sorted soon because I look forward to seeing them. :)
Things always have a way of working out even though we cannot help but worry about them...glad you are staying in Seattle though! It is lovely!
I feel you with the cost of living here. It is terribly high.
I was able to check out one of your youtube videos for cooking! you are like the next Rachel Ray!!!
Aww Jennifer, you are so kind! I really appreciate all your support, always coming to my blog whenever I have something to ramble about! Thank you very much, I really appreciate it! :D
Seattle is a beautiful city, it rains a lot but it is the kind of rain that puts you in the "mood" lol for what? that's up to you... most of the time is not heavy rainy, so it is great for walking, put on your raincoat and enjoy the nice breeze and rain outside, the weather is always perfect for outdoor exercise, always nice and cool... never too cold or two hot... perfect for sports too, kayaking, biking, hiking, running, sky diving, you name it Seattle has it...summers are PERFECT! there is no other place in the States, maybe Florida with summers as perfect as Seattle... the weather is beautiful, no more rain! but Fall is even better, you get to see all the trees changing colors and losing their leaves, it is just beautiful....
If you are a "sun" person, you probably wont like it as much, since it is pretty much cloudy, with the sun picking out from time to time, but if you like cloudy days (not gloomy) and cool weather Seattle is definitely the place to be, and I love that the rain doesn't stop anyone from going for a run or from going to the park to read a book! lol the rain is just part of our lives... lol
well as you can see I do like Seattle a little too much, lol
Thank you Jennifer! I've been checking your blog a lot, lol trying to do the 30 day challenge... I created my sim, but I haven't posted anything yet...
Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Gayl, it is really nice to see you again!
You are right, at the end everything works out the way it should, or the way it is destined to... I am one of those persons who worries about everything and by everything I really mean every single tiny detailed and I can't seem to learn the lesson, hubby says that I'm not happy unless I find something to worry about...:(
I don't really know how you guys do it! living in SF is so freaking expensive... if we had moved, we would live to work and work to live.... all those taxes are crazy... paying that much for rent, I would expect the house to come with a butler :D
Not even Chicago was that expensive! Dallas and Austin were pretty cheap compare to Chicago and SF!
But I do agree SF is a beautiful place, it would have been great to move (if you could afford the same living we have here)...
Rachel Ray! why, that's a great compliment! thank you so much! lol
I still get really nervous in front of the camara, but I am having fun, those were pre recorder awhile ago :D lol now its time to make new ones, hopefully I will do better in front of the camara now!
thank you Gayl for stopping by! it means a lot!
